Book Vs Movie Essay - Gatsby VS The Great Gatsby

Book Vs Movie Essay - Gatsby VS The Great GatsbyIf you want to make a great Gatsby book vs movie essay, the first thing you should consider is your theme. The main characters in Gatsby are Nick Carraway and his spoiled daughter, Daisy, and if you want to write about your own version of these two rich, privileged young people, the main theme is class and wealth. Now, you could also try to write about two down-and-out characters who struggle to make it on their own. But when it comes to Gatsby, he's the son of a very rich, cultured family that has to struggle against poverty and unemployment because of his inheritance. So let's take a look at what this theme means, and how it applies to Gatsby. This can be a very literary, contemporary type of essay, or it can be an abstract story about life as it is lived in New York City in the late 19th century.Because of all the time that Gatsby spends on his yacht, drinking and playing the blues, he's not a typical 'drinking bro' of the time. And th e fact that he doesn't have any money or social status in his own life makes him both more and less 'utterly lovable.' He also represents all the dreams that people pursue and end up unattainable, and the fact that he does have all of these things makes him very relatable to the modern student trying to achieve a college degree. In fact, many times the great essays written about Gatsby are about their own ambitions and desires, and the way that these aspirations are crushed by circumstances and people outside of themselves. For example, a student might say that after trying to follow Gatsby's example, they end up rejecting all of their own dreams and desires. So, what about the book or movie comparison? Many writers find the movie quite entertaining, but the movie doesn't really offer a lot of depth about the characters in the book. With Gatsby, you do get a lot of interesting back story and character developments. This writer's style is not perfect and there will likely be little to n o specific Gatsby facts about Gatsby. As the book focuses primarily on Nick and Daisy, there is only so much you can expect to cover in one essay. But with a movie like The Great Gatsby, which covers the same era of Gatsby's life, you'll have a larger canvas to work with.Of course, when choosing between the two essay topics, you'll have to weigh all of the pros and cons of each. But in the end, Gatsby will always win this battle, unless of course, you have nothing better to do than waste a weekend reading out of boredom.
